Metal hydrides with weak M-H bonds, like HV(CO)4dppe, can transfer H atoms to MoO3. This appears to happen by a step-wise proton-electron transfer mechanism. The resulting reduced metal oxide has the same spectroscopic properties as Pt/MoO3, showing that the reaction of HV with MoO3 is a model reaction for hydrogen spillover. Read more here:

Ruthenium tetrahydride complexes catalyze both the hydrogenation of CO2 to formate and the decomposition of formic acid. Using advanced NMR spectroscopy, we measured the effect of ligand electronics on the rate and equilibrium of CO2 insertion and explained the observed catalytic trends. Read more here:
